- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands or have resided there for over 10 years at the time of application.
- The applicant should be a financially disadvantaged widow.
- The household income of the applicant should not exceed ₹4000 per month.
- The applicant should not be receiving any other financial assistance or grants from the government or any other sources.
- The assistance will cease if the applicant remarries or becomes financially independent, verified through due inquiry or records.

- Step 01: Obtain the application form:
- Get the form for free from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair, or from sub-divisional offices of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs).
- Alternatively, download the form from the official website.
- Step 02: Submit the filled application:
- Complete the application form with all necessary details.
- Gather all required documents.
- Submit the filled form along with all documents to the office of the relevant Child Development Project Officer.
