The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Widow Pension Scheme: Eligibility

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands or have resided there for over 10 years at the time of application.
2. The applicant should be a financially disadvantaged widow.
3. The household income of the applicant should not exceed ₹4000 per month.
4. The applicant should not be receiving any other financial assistance or grants from the government or any other sources.
5. The assistance will cease if the applicant remarries or becomes financially independent, verified through due inquiry or records.

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Widow Pension Scheme: Offline Application Process

1. Step 01: Obtain the application form:
   • Get the form for free from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair, or from sub-divisional offices of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs).
   • Alternatively, download the form from the official website.
2. Step 02: Submit the filled application:
   • Complete the application form with all necessary details.
   • Gather all required documents.
   • Submit the filled form along with all documents to the office of the relevant Child Development Project Officer.

2. Identity proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card)
3. Death certificate of the husband
4. Local certificate or domicile certificate
