The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department offers the Pre Matric Scholarship, tailored to assist financially disadvantaged Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students pursuing secondary education in Class 9 or 10.

This scholarship program acknowledges the transformative power of education for marginalized communities, aiming to mitigate financial barriers that could otherwise hinder their academic journey.

SC ST Pre Matric Scholarship Uttar Pradesh: Benefits

Component-1:

• ₹3,500/- per annum (Day Students)
• ₹7,000/- per annum (Residential Students)

Component-2:

• ₹3,500/- per annum (Day Students)
• ₹8,000/- per annum (Residential Students)

SC ST Pre Matric Scholarship Uttar Pradesh: Eligibility

• Resident of Uttar Pradesh
• Belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST)
• Dependent of individuals in traditionally untouchable occupations
• Financial Criteria:
  • Component 1: Parental income ≤ ₹2,50,000/- per annum
  • Component 2: No income criteria
• Age: 12 to 20 years old (as of July 1st)
• All children of the applicant’s parents are eligible
• Cannot receive concurrent scholarships (with exceptions)

SC ST Pre Matric Scholarship Uttar Pradesh : Online Application Process

Online Application:

• Registration:
  1. Visit the official website
  2. Click on “Registration” under Student option
  3. Select appropriate category (ST, SC, General, OBC, Minority)
  4. Choose application type (Pre-matric Fresh)
  5. Complete registration, note down registration number
• Login:
  1. Visit the official website
  2. Click on “Fresh Login” under Student option
  3. Provide details: Registration Number, Mobile Number, Password
  4. Complete DigiLocker verification
  5. Fill out application form with:
     • Personal and Bank details
     • Upload required documents
     • Complete NPCI verification
  6. Download and submit the application form with necessary documents to the institute

• Mark sheet of last qualifying examination
• Caste certificate
• Family income certificate
• Bank passbook photocopy
• Fee receipt number (if applicable)
• Enrollment number
• Aadhar card number
• Latest passport-sized photograph
