The “Raja Harishchandra Shramik Mrityu Antim Sanskar Sahayata Yojana” (RHSMASSSY) is an initiative by the Government of Uttar Pradesh aimed at providing financial assistance to the families of registered workers who pass away during their service.

The scheme aims to ease the financial burden on these families during a challenging period and assist with the final rites of the deceased worker.

• Workers must be employed in an establishment registered under the Factories Act, 1948.
• The monthly salary of the worker (basic salary + dearness allowance) should not exceed ₹15,000/-
• Application must be made within one year from the date of the worker’s death.
• Financial assistance will be disbursed to the worker’s spouse, dependent (son/unmarried daughter), mother, or father if the worker was unmarried.

• Online Application Steps:
  1. Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Labour Welfare Board at https://skpuplabour.in/.
  2. Select the “Shramik Application” option on the homepage.
  3. New users should register by selecting “Register New User,” fill out the form accurately, and submit it to receive a unique user ID and password via SMS.
  4. Log in using the provided credentials.
  5. Choose the relevant scheme and complete the application form, ensuring accuracy. Upload a recent photograph of the applicant and submit.
  6. Print a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
  7. Get the application form verified and endorsed by the educational institution and the concerned factory/establishment.
  8. Log in again, upload the verified application form and necessary documents in the “Scheme Application Details” section.
  9. Upon verification, the scholarship amount will be disbursed to the beneficiary’s bank account, with notification via SMS.
  10. Track the application status through the portal’s “Application Status” option.

• Attested photocopy of the filled online application form.
• Read photocopy of the beneficiary’s bank passbook (with IFS code).
• Read photocopy of ration card/family register or other government document confirming relationship with the dependent.
• Death certificate issued by Registrar (Birth/Death).
