Education plays a crucial role in uplifting backward classes. Due to a lack of education, these social categories remain backward.
Despite the many years since the country’s independence, there has been no significant improvement in the educational status of Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
Numerous efforts have been made to improve this situation. Currently, the Department of Backward Classes Welfare operates the post-matric scholarship scheme online, aimed at developing and uplifting the educational status of backward classes.
Under this scheme, OBC students studying in government schools, aided, and recognized educational institutes receive an annual scholarship.
The Department of Backward Classes Welfare is committed to continuously improving the educational status of backward classes.
