Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana under the Nand Baba Milk Mission aims to:

  • Enhance milk productivity and per capita milk availability in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Encourage the purchase of indigenous improved breed cows from outside the state.
  • Increase the number of indigenous improved breed cows and improve their breeds.
  • Provide employment opportunities in rural areas through animal husbandry.
  • Implement the scheme across all districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana Uttar Pradesh : Benefits

  • Grants covering up to 40% of the total cost per unit (maximum ₹80,000).
  • Costs include purchasing cows, transportation, insurance, fodder cutting machine, and shed construction.
  • Note 1: One unit means 2 cows of indigenous improved breed per beneficiary, with a unit cost of approximately ₹2 lakhs.
  • Note 2: The grant will be released directly to the beneficiary’s bank account via DBT within a month by the State Program Management Unit.

Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Eligibility

  • Resident of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Applicant must be 18 years or older.
  • Adequate space/shed for keeping animals.
  • Must not have more than 2 cows of indigenous advanced breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, Haryana, Tharparkar, or hybrid breed F-1 cows.
  • Purchase indigenous improved breed cows from outside the state.
  • Purchase cows of first or second calving.
  • Cows must be disease-free and healthy.
  • Must insure all purchased cows for 3 years.
  • Must take transit insurance for bringing cows from the place of purchase to the unit.

Exclusions

  • If the asset is sold or transferred within three years, the grant will be recovered by the District Executive Committee as per rules.

Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Offline Application Process

  • Scheme details and application process will be advertised state-wide, with information available on the departmental portal and local offices.

Steps:

  1. Visit the official website and download the application form (Annexure-1).
  2. Fill in all mandatory fields and attach copies of all mandatory documents (self-attested if required).
  3. Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Chief Development Officer or Chief Veterinary Officer.
  4. Request a receipt or acknowledgment, ensuring it contains essential details like date, time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).

After Selection Process

  1. After receiving the selection letter, purchase indigenous improved breed cows (Gir, Sahiwal, Haryana, Tharparkar) within 2 months.
  2. Mandatory ear tagging through microchips/ear tagging system for cow identification.
  3. Beneficiary must complete all legal formalities and maintain records of purchasing animals.
  4. After purchasing cows, submit a new application (Annexure-2) for the grant within 1 month.

Mukhyamantri Svadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Required Documents

For Application:

  • Passport-size Photo.
  • Self-attested Photocopy of Aadhar Card.
  • Notarized Affidavit (stating no more than 2 indigenous advanced breed cows or hybrid breed F-1 cows are already being reared and there is sufficient space for animal husbandry).

For Grant Distribution:

  • Passport-size Photo.
  • Cow Purchase Receipt.
  • Copy of Transit Insurance.
  • Transport Expense Receipt.
  • Copy of Animal Insurance for 3 years.
  • Copy of Purchase Fodder Cutting Machine.
  • Copy of Expenditure (shed construction).
  • Aadhar Card of Milk Producer/Animal Husbandry Beneficiary.
  • Certificate and Identification Number (microchips/ear tagging system/recognized identification system for cattle).
  • Animal Health Certificate (issued by veterinary officer, specifying the species of cow).
  • Notarized Affidavit (assets will be maintained for at least 3 years).
  • Bank Passbook/Canceled Cheque.
  • Photocopy of the selection letter.
