An assistance of Rs. 20,000/- is provided for each marriage.

Marriage Grant Scheme Uttar Pradesh : Eligibility

  • Income Limits:
    • Urban areas: Annual income should not exceed Rs. 56,460/-.
    • Rural areas: Annual income should not exceed Rs. 46,080/-.
  • Age Requirements:
    • Girl: Must be 18 years or older.
    • Boy: Must be 21 years or older.
  • Caste Certificate:
    • Applicants from Other Backward Classes must enter the serial number of their online Caste Certificate issued by the Tehsil in their online application form.
  • Priority Applicants:
    • Priority will be given to destitute women after the death of their husbands or to widows. These applicants will not need to provide a caste certificate.
  • Marriage Grants:
    • Grants will be allowed for up to a maximum of two daughters from a family.

Marriage Grant Scheme Uttar Pradesh : Online Application Process

  1. Application Submission:
    • Apply through Jan Suvidha Kendras, District Backward Classes Welfare Officer, or on the official website of the department.
    • The application must be submitted online either:
      • At least 90 days before the date of marriage, or
      • Up to 90 days after the marriage has taken place.
  2. Required Documents:
    • Keep a hard copy of the online application.
    • Ensure all uploaded documents are self-attested. These include:
      • Aadhar Card
      • Income Certificate
      • Caste Certificate
      • Certificate showing the date fixed for marriage (e.g., Marriage Invitation card)
      • Documentary proof in case of widow or PwD status
      • Documents related to the bank account
