The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ANBOCWWB) of the Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, has introduced the “Marriage Assistance” scheme. This scheme provides registered construction workers with a financial allowance to cover marriage expenses for themselves or their two dependent children.

Under this scheme, registered construction workers will receive financial assistance of ₹20,000 to cover the marriage expenses of either themselves or their two dependent children.

Marriage Assistance Scheme Andaman and Nicobar Islands : Eligibility

  1. The beneficiary must be a resident of the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
  2. The beneficiary must be engaged in building and other construction work.
  3. The beneficiary must be registered under the A&N Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  4. The beneficiary must have an active membership with the Board.
  5. Assistance is provided to cover the marriage expenses of the worker or his/her two dependent children.

Portal Registration Process:

  1. Visit Online Portal: Go to serviceonline.gov.in/login.do.
  2. Register: On the home page, click on ‘Register’ and fill in all the mandatory details.
  3. Submit: Click on the ‘Submit’ button and validate your Email ID & Mobile Number using the OTP received.
  4. Successful Registration: After successful validation, the applicant will be registered.

Registration Process of Construction Workers under A&N Islands Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board:

  1. Login: The applicant can login using the email ID used during registration.
  2. Enter Credentials: Enter Password & Captcha.
  3. Login: Click on ‘Login’.
  4. Apply for Services: After successful login, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
  5. Search and Proceed: Search for “Registration of Construction Workers in AN BOCWWB” and click to proceed with the registration process.
  6. Fill Details: Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the relevant documents.
  7. Submit: Preview the form and click on ‘Submit’.
  8. Receive Registration ID: After successful registration, the applicant will receive a registration ID.

Application Process for Marriage Financial Assistance:

  1. Login: To avail the benefits of the scheme, applicants can login using the email ID used during registration.
  2. Enter Credentials: Enter Password & Captcha.
  3. Login: Click on ‘Login’.
  4. Apply for Services: After successful login, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
  5. Search and Proceed: Search for ‘Marriage Financial Assistance’ and click on the scheme to proceed to fill out the application form.
  6. Fill Details: Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the mandatory documents.
  7. Submit: Preview the application form and click on ‘Submit’.

Application Tracking:

  1. Login: To track the application status, the applicant can visit the online Portal and login using their ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’.
  2. View Application Status: On the home page, click on ‘View Application Status’ and then click on ‘Track Application Status’.
  3. Get Status: Enter the Application Reference Number and click on ‘Get Data’ to know the status of your application.

  • The applicant can submit the application form personally or via a contractor.
  • Submit the application form to the concerned ANBOCWWB Office.
  • Ensure all relevant documents are included with the application.

Documents Required for Registration:

  1. Passport size photograph
  2. Proof of age
  3. Identity proof
  4. Details of EPF, if any
  5. Proof of address
  6. 90 Days Work Duration Certificate issued by the competent authority
  7. Bank account details
  8. Any other document as required

Documents Required for Marriage Assistance Scheme:

  1. Registration ID Card of Worker
  2. Identity proof of worker (e.g., Aadhaar Card)
  3. Latest Subscription Receipt
  4. Address proof
  5. Bank account details of worker/Copy of passbook
  6. Identity proof of Son/Daughter for whose marriage assistance is sought
  7. Any other document as required
