Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Uttar Pradesh : Under this scheme, the definition of a farmer has been expanded to include the account holder or co-account holder of a Khatauni (land record), as well as their family members whose main income comes from farming on that land. Additionally, landless individuals who farm on leased or shared land and rely on this farming as their primary source of income are also included.

Benefits of the Uttar Pradesh Government Scheme for Farmers:

  1. Compensation for Disability:
    • Loss of both hands and legs: Rs. 5 lakh.
    • Loss of 1 hand and 1 foot: Rs. 5 lakh.
    • Disability of one leg and one hand: Rs. 2 to 3 lakhs.
  2. Compensation for Death:
    • Death of a farmer in an accident: Up to Rs. 5 lakh.
  3. Partial Disability Compensation:
    • Disability between 25% to less than 50%: Rs. 1 to 2 lakhs.
  4. Specific Disabilities:
    • Loss of an eye due to accident: Up to Rs. 5 lakh.
  5. Types of Accidents Covered:
    • Compensation provided for accidents including:
      • Falling tree incidents.
      • Landslides.
      • Travel accidents.
      • Lightning strikes.
      • Flood-related incidents.
      • Animal bites.
      • Electrocution.
      • Fire burns.
      • House collapses.
      • Terrorist attacks.
      • Fight-related accidents.
      • Falling into a chamber.
      • Robbery-related incidents.
  6. Application Process:
    • Farmers need to apply to receive compensation under the scheme.
  7. Government Assistance:
    • The government provides financial benefits to victims of these accidents.

Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Eligibility

  • The scheme extends benefits to families of farmers who died in accidents after September 14, 2019.
  • Eligible farmers must be aged between 18 to 70 years.
  • If an applicant farmer dies in an accident, financial support will be provided to their immediate family members including parents, spouse, daughters-in-law, sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters.
  • Farmers in Uttar Pradesh who do not own agricultural land but farm on rented or shared land are eligible.
  • Farmers with a disability of 60% or more due to accidents can also receive benefits under the UP Chief Minister Farmer Accident Welfare Scheme.

Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Online Application Process

  • Visit the official e-District scheme website.
  • Navigate to the registered user login section on the homepage.
  • New users should complete registration by selecting “New User Registration.”
  • Log in and find the application form under the Department of Agriculture’s Honorable Chief Minister Farmer Accident Assistance Scheme.
  • Fill out all required details in the application form, such as accident victim information, claimant’s address and business details, and accident specifics.
  • Upload all necessary documents as instructed.
  • Review the form for accuracy and completeness.
  • Submit the application form to complete the process.

Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Offline Application Process

  1. The farmer or their family must fill out an application form detailing the accident within 45 days.
  2. This application form needs to be submitted to the District Collector’s office.
  3. Officials at the Tehsil will review all the information provided in the application.
  4. Once the verification process is complete, the farmer will receive benefits under the scheme.
Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Uttar Pradesh: Required Documents
  1. Documents Required for Claim Submission:
    • Attested copy of Khatauni.
    • Attested copy of the registered lease for the registered private lessee.
  2. Certificates Required for Bataidar:
    • Option A:
      • Certificate from the landowner or their heir/legal heir confirming agricultural work done by the deceased or disabled person on their land during the crop year.
    • Option B:
      • If the landowner is unavailable, a certificate from the village head and regional accountant, bearing their signature and seal, stating that the affected person was a sharecropper on the landowner’s property.
  3. Additional Documentation:
    • Age certificate.
    • Address proof.
    • Details of family members.
