Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC), a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is announcing the “Garuda Scheme for Funeral Expenses” (GS-FE) for poor Brahmins in Andhra Pradesh.

Key details of the scheme:

• Financial assistance of ₹10,000 will be provided to cover funeral expenses.
• The scheme is available in all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
• Assistance is provided through a prescribed process.

This initiative aims to support the funeral expenses of deceased Brahmins in the state.

The applicant must be a close relative of the deceased (Spouse, Son, Daughter, Parent, Brother, or Grandson).

The applicant should provide a self-declaration stating they are the legal heir of the deceased.

The applicant must belong to the Brahmin community.

The applicant should reside in Andhra Pradesh.

The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed ₹75,000.

The applicant should not have received any amount under any other government scheme.

Registration and Application Process

1. Visit the Official Website:
   • Go to https://www.andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in/schemes/schemes.aspx#
   • Click on “Scheme”
2. Registration:
   • Click on “Registration”
   • An application form will open
3. Fill Out Required Details:
   • Personal Details:
     • Name
     • Residence address
     • Aadhaar number
     • Ration card number
     • Bank details
   • Upload Documents:
     • Photo
     • Signature
     • Certificate details
   • Documents Required:
     • Birth Certificate
     • Residential Certificate
     • Aadhaar Card
     • Caste Certificate
     • Bank Passbook
   • Finalize and “Submit” the application
4. Receive Reference Number:
   • After submission, you will receive a reference number

Check Application Status

1. Go to Services:
   • Click on the “Services” link on the menu
   • Select “Know your status”
2. Enter Details:
   • Enter the Reference or Mobile or Aadhaar Card Number to get the application status
3. Fetch Details:
   • Select the “Financial Year”
   • Click “Fetch” to get the details

Download the Acknowledgement Slip

Access Acknowledgement Slip:

• Click on the “Acknowledgement Slip”

Enter Details:

• Enter the Aadhaar Card Number
• Select the “Scheme”

Submit:

Click on “Submit” to download the slip

1. Passport-size Photograph of the Applicant
2. Aadhar Card of the Applicant
3. Aadhar Card of the Deceased
4. White Ration Card/Income Certificate (issued by Mee Seva/Revenue Department)
5. Caste Certificate (issued from Mee Seva)
6. Residence Certificate (issued from Mee Seva)
7. Birth Certificate (issued from Mee Seva)
8. Income Certificate of the Applicant (issued by Mee Seva/Revenue Department)
9. Passbook of SB Account in Andhra Bank or SBI (in the name of the Applicant)
10. Self-declaration (the applicant is the legal heir of the deceased Brahmin)
11. Death Certificate of the Deceased Brahmin (issued by any Government)
