Andaman and Nicobar Islands Disability Assistance Scheme : The “Disability Assistance” scheme was initiated by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ANBOCWWB), under the Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.

This scheme allows the Secretary of the Board to sanction up to 25% of the total compensation amount, as determined by the Employees Compensation Act of 1923. To apply, workers must submit a certificate from competent medical authorities detailing the percentage of disability, along with their application, last pay slip, and proof of age. Additionally, ex-post facto approval from the Board is required.

Portal Registration Process:

  1. Visit the online Portal: serviceonline.gov.in.
  2. On the home page, click on ‘Register’ and fill in all the mandatory details.
  3. Click on the ‘Submit’ button and validate your Email ID & Mobile Number using the OTP received.
  4. After successful validation, the applicant will be registered.

Registration Process of Construction Workers under A&N Islands Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board:

  1. Log in using the email ID registered previously.
  2. Enter Password & Captcha.
  3. Click on ‘Login’.
  4. After successful login, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
  5. Search for the “Registration of Construction Workers in AN BOCWWB” and click to proceed with the registration process.
  6. Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the relevant documents.
  7. Preview the form and click on ‘Submit’.
  8. After successful registration, the applicant will receive a registration ID.

Application Process for Disability Financial Assistance:

  1. Log in using the email ID registered previously.
  2. Enter Password & Captcha.
  3. Click on ‘Login’.
  4. After successful login, click on ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
  5. Search for ‘Disability Financial Assistance’ and click on the scheme to proceed with the application process.
  6. Fill in all the mandatory details and upload all the mandatory documents.
  7. Preview the application form and click on ‘Submit’.

Application Tracking:

  1. Visit the online Portal and log in using your ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’.
  2. On the home page, click on ‘View Application Status’ and then click on ‘Track Application Status’.
  3. Enter the Application Reference Number and click on ‘Get Data’ to know the status of your application.
