The “Skill Development Assistance” scheme, initiated by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (ANBOCWWB) under the Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, offers financial support to registered construction workers or their two children. This assistance is provided for the purchase of tool kits upon submission of a valid course/trade completion certificate from a Government Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Training Centre.

Under this scheme, the Board will provide financial assistance of ₹10,000 to registered construction workers or their two children for purchasing tool kits
Skill Development Assistance Scheme Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Eligibility
- The beneficiary must be a resident of the Union territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
- The beneficiary should be engaged in building & other construction work.
- The beneficiary must be registered under the A&N Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- The beneficiary should have an active membership with the Board.
- Registered construction workers can avail benefits for the purchase of tool kits for themselves or their two children.
- Either the registered construction worker or their children must possess a successful course/trade completion certificate from the Government Industrial Training Institute or Vocational Training Centre to apply under the scheme.

Portal Registration Process:
- Visit the online Portal: https://serviceonline.gov.in/
- Click on ‘Register’ on the home page and complete all mandatory details.
- Submit the form and verify your Email ID & Mobile Number using OTP.
- Upon successful validation, your registration will be completed.
Registration Process of Construction Workers under A&N Islands Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board:
- Log in using your registered email ID.
- Enter Password & Captcha.
- Click on ‘Login’.
- After logging in, select ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
- Locate ‘Registration of Construction Workers in AN BOCWWB’ and proceed with registration.
- Fill in all mandatory details and upload relevant documents.
- Preview your form and click ‘Submit’.
- Upon successful registration, you will receive a registration ID.
Application Process for Skill Development Assistance:
- Log in using your registered email ID.
- Enter Password & Captcha.
- Click on ‘Login’.
- Navigate to ‘Apply for Services’ and then ‘View all Available Services’.
- Find ‘Skill Development Financial Assistance’ and begin filling out the application.
- Complete all mandatory fields and upload required documents.
- Preview your application and click ‘Submit’.
Application Tracking:
- To track your application, log in to the portal with your ‘User ID’ & ‘Password’.
- Go to the home page and click ‘View Application Status’, then ‘Track Application Status’.
- Enter your Application Reference Number and click ‘Get Data’ to check your application status.

- The applicant can submit the application form personally or through a contractor to the relevant ANBOCWWB Office.
- Required documents should accompany the application.

For Registration under A&N Islands Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board:
- Passport size photograph
- Proof of age
- Identity proof
- Details of EPF, if any
- Proof of address
- 90 Days Work Duration Certificate issued by the competent authority
- Bank account details
- Any other document as required
For Skill Development Assistance Scheme:
- Registration ID Card of Worker
- Identity proof of worker (e.g., Aadhaar Card)
- Latest Subscription Receipt
- Address proof
- Bank account details of worker/Copy of passbook
- Identity proof of Child (If applying for child)
- Course completion/pass-out certificate from ITI/VTC
- Any other document as required
